As a Division 1 athlete who has dealt with performance anxiety, setbacks, and self-doubt, I’ve navigated the highs and lows of competitive sports firsthand. My studies in psychology have helped me understand why these challenges happen and how to overcome them. Through my journey from struggling with confidence to learning practical mental strategies, I’ve gained insights that I want to share with other athletes facing the same struggles.
Through reflecting on my own experiences and talking to fellow athletes, I discovered how powerful understanding your mindset can be in sports. This insight inspired me to start The Athlete’s Mind, creating a space for honest conversations about the mental side of athletics. Now, I want to share these stories, lessons, and strategies with you.
If you’re looking to gain confidence, handle pressure, and grow stronger mentally while pursuing your athletic goals, The Athlete’s Mind is where you’ll find actionable advice, relatable stories, and expert-backed strategies. Using sports psychology, personal experiences, and stories from pro athletes like Micheal Phelps and A'ja Wilson, this episode explores why confidence changes so quickly, and how athletes can start rebuilding it.

In this first episode of The Athlete’s Mind, I break down failure in sports into four categories: Calibration, Climb, Consequences, and Circumstances. I also share personal experiences as a Division 1 soccer player dealing with injury, pressure, and development while still in the process.
